    **Students who wish to pay with Care Credit must be approved for the full amount with 0% interest for 12 months

**Students who wish to pay with one of the Star of Texas Dental Assisting School payment plans must bring the full specified payment to each class and turn it in to the instructor before the class period begins. If a student fails to bring his/her payment to any class period he/she will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to continue with the course. A student who does not bring his/her payment forfeits all deposit and tuition money previously paid to Star of Texas Dental Assisting School, except the amount, if any, that would be due back per the cancellation and refund policy. There is a $50 fee for returned checks.

Description of Curriculum

Star of Texas Dental Assisting School is a twelve consecutive week teaching program training students to be entry-level dental assistants for private and specialty practice dental offices. This program is detailed, comprehensive and fast paced.

Lectures are taught one day per week totaling 48 clock hours. Practice Lab/Clinical with the Instructor is 48 clock hours. Lab/Clinical in a dental practice setting total to 100 clock hours or 10 clock hours per week, which must be completed to receive certification. The overall learning time is 196 clock hours.

There is a textbook that is required for this course which also has an interactive CD-ROM to aide in the preparation of the course and will allow the student to study at home approximately 60 hours.

The students’ total learning experience will consist of 196 clock hours – Lecture/Theory for 48 clock hours, Clinical/Lab for 48 clock hours, plus 100 externship clock hours.

Upon completion of our Star of Texas Dental Assisting Program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion accompanied by a letter of introduction for their resume and signed by the Director of the School.

Supplies: Students will need to come prepared the first day of school with the above Textbook and Workbook, along with a notebook, a number 2 pencil and a pen. A red and blue pencil will be provided.
