By law, in order to take x-rays in a dental office a dental assistant must be registered with the Texas 
State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). This process includes passing an approved three-part course, submitting an application and paying the applicable fees. After completing the necessary steps the dental assistant will receive their Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the mail.
The three part-course necessary to begin the Registered Dental Assistant process includes Jurisprudence, Infection Control and Radiology. At Star of Texas Dental Assisting School, dental assisting students begin learning and preparing for the RDA course from class 1. Throughout our program we highlight key terms and information that is covered on the exam. We even dedicate an entire class period to preparing for and completing the course as well as starting the application process. Our exam preparation has resulted in 100% of our graduates passing the RDA course.
Star of Texas Dental Assisting School is a comprehensive program that includes all aspects necessary to be a successful dental assistant. We provide the education, hands-on training, RDA preparation and career readiness tools to excel in the field. Our goal is to prepare our students for dental assisting jobs upon graduation so that they may immediately utilize the skills learned in our course. With our course, students will receive
a Dental Assistant Certificate for completing their education and will also have taken the first steps necessary to becoming a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Texas.
